NSL Schedule

Note that flying conditions are usually better in the morning. If you have a sensitive project that you want to fly, fly early. This is a tentative schedule, check back often and listen for announcements at the launch. Updates during NSL will be sent over the PA.

Friday, November 22 –
Range Setup starting at 1:00 p.m.

  • Set up all pads, launch cables, trash buckets, extinguishers
  • Set up launch control, Registration, Safety & Assistance
  • Set up sound system
  • Dinner at Sonny’s to follow setup

Saturday, November 23

  • 7:00 a.m.    Set out range boxes and batteries.  Connect launch cables
  • 8:00 a.m.    Notify Jax Approach & Moody AFB of impending launch
  • 8:00 a.m.    Registration opens
  • 8:45 a.m.    Second call to Jax Approach and Moody AFB
  • 8:45 a.m.    First Shift Volunteers and Flyers Meeting
  • 9:00 a.m.    First Flight
  • Every Hour Raffle
  • 5:00 p.m.    End of Waivered Flights (call Jax Approach and Moody AFB)
  • 6:00 p.m.    Night Flight Launches Start
  • Depends     Collect range boxes, batteries, and launch cables after night flight launches (charging, cleaning and protection)
  • To Follow  Top Secret Activity – Follows night flight

Sunday, November 24

  • 7:00 a.m.    Set out range boxes, batteries, launch cables
  • 8:00 a.m.    Notify Jax Approach & Moody AFB of impending launch
  • 8:00 a.m.    Registration open
  • 8:45 a.m.    Second call to Jax Approach and Moody AFB
  • 8:45 a.m.    First Shift Volunteers and Flyers Meeting
  • 9:00 a.m.    First Flight
  • Every Hour Raffle
  • 5:00 p.m.    End of Waivered Flights (call Jax Approach and Moody AFB)
  • 5:00 p.m.    Collect range boxes, batteries, and launch cables after night flight launches (charging, cleaning and protection)
  • To Follow   Dinner with new friends
