U.S. Model Rocket Sporting Code

The U.S. Model Rocket Sporting Code is the rule book for NAR competition model rocketry. The current version is effective as of August 10, 2024.

Minor updates to the Sporting Code are made annually through the Rules Revision Process. 

Be sure to check out the Competition Guide for more detailed information about competition. Each of the events has a separate section, with tips and plans for models.

The US Model Rocket Sporting Code is maintained by a volunteer from the NAR Contest Board. If you have comments or corrections to make to the contents, please do not contact the NAR webmaster — contact the maintainer instead.
