Federal Road

The club held a sport and high-power launch at Federal Road on Thursday. On a beautiful day with moderate winds in the 6–8mph range, the 33 fliers launched 104 rockets. Congratulations to Mark M. for a successful Level 1 certification, Barry M. for a successful Level 2 certification, and Mark L. for a successful Level 3 Certification. We believe this is the club’s first successful certification flight at all three levels in a single day.

National Museum of the USAF

The club held a sport launch at the NMUSAF in conjunction with the museum’s eclipse activities. On a beautiful day with light winds, rockets were launched both during the eclipse under the club’s night flight rules (13 flights with lights) and throughout the day (28 launches). The 13 fliers launched 41 rockets.
