READ CAREFULLY: The NARAM-61 block of rooms BEGINS on 7/24/19 and ENDS on 8/2/19. Rooms for 7/21-7/23 and 8/3-8/5 will book at the group rate BASED ON AVAILABILITY. Friday, 8/2 may also be sold out. The NAR’s contract provides that all cancellations revert to our room block first so we get first crack at those rooms. HOWEVER, the Marriott reservation system does not allow them to create a “ first come” list of members wanting a room on Saturday 8/3 and contacting members as cancellations for that night occur. Members will have to call and check and see if a cancellation has been added to our room block in order to reserve a room for Saturday night.
Overflow rooms have been secured at the Hampton Inn, Muncie at the Marriott group rate and consist of a King bed with a king sleeper sofa. A link to the Hampton Inn reservation website is provided below. My recommendation is to secure one of those rooms and continue checking with the Marriott to see if a cancellation has been added to our room block for Saturday, 8/3- then reserve the Marriott room and cancel the Hampton room. I understand that none of this is ideal but Muncie isn’t a sleepy, little midwestern town. The Marriott was already substantially booked for Saturday, 8/3 when the Marriott contract was created and we secured what few rooms there were at that time, all of which are now gone.
Our group code is “NAR.” At this point in time, I would recommend that all member reservations be made by calling the Courtyard Marriott, 1-765-287-85590 and book your dates directly.
Camping
Primitive camping and RV’s are allowed at the NARAM-61 launch site- see reservation information and rates below.
NAR members that register for NARAM 61 will be receiving a FREE 90 day AMA membership. Therefore, registered NARAM attendee’s pay the AMA member rate for camping. People who do not register for NARAM but wish to camp will pay the non-member rate.
Camping Rules
Members must properly dispose of all trash. Taller vehicles must park toward the pack of the parking in order to not block the view. No campfires or fire pits are allowed. Gas grills are allowed. No ATV’s or any type are allowed. Members are not allowed to launch after range hours or at night without authorization. Members are not allowed to fly R/C aircraft of any kind without authorization. If you plan to attend NARAM 61 in your RV or camper, there will be a limited number of camping sites available with power and water for NAR members at Site 3 which is home to the contest range (there are no sites of this kind at Site 1 where the Sport Range will be operating.)
Make a Reservation
To make a primitive camping, camper or RV reservation, call (800) 435-9262 and dial ext. 200 for Joyce or 261 for Yolanda. Whoever you speak to, let them know you’re with the NAR coming to NARAM-61 this July. Reservations are taken for full service spaces and may be taken for other spaces during special events. Spaces 001 and 002 at Flying Site #3 are reserved for special guests.
Camping and RV site reservations must be completed by July 1, 2019 or the sites will be released by the AMA.
Registration
Registration is closely-monitored. Due to Indiana State Board of Health requirements, all campers (primitive & RV) MUST register at one of the locations listed below. If someone arrives after hours, he/she should register first thing the next business day. When checking in after normal business hours, please note what space you are in.
IMPORTANT: If you have not registered for a full-service space, but have parked in one, you may be asked to move.
All campers must show a valid driver’s license, and camper’s registration card must be visible on your vehicle.
