The Oakland County 4-H Sport Rocket Club is a 4-H Aerospace chapter for youth ages 8-19. The Club focuses on model rocket building and design, STEM education, and career development in science and engineering. The Club meets monthly to build rockets and conduct business. It holds a quarterly rocket launch at locations in the area. Members must join 4-H (free) and be in good standing with 4-H bylaws.Launches
Launches are held quarterly at various locations in Oakland County and southeast Michigan. Each July, there is a launch at the Oakland County Fairgrounds as part of the county fair. Launches are limited to low power (A through E) due to field size.HPR
This Club does not fly high power. The nearest high power club is the Jackson Model Rocketry Club.Meetings
1st Saturday of each month, 10:30 - 1:00 PM at the Clarkston Independence District Library (CIDL). Come prepared to build rockets and to show off your latest projects!This is a private organizational Section for the members and friends of the Oakland County 4-H Sport Rocket Club.
