The NAR in collaboration with Wright Stuff Rocketeers, Rocketeers of Central Indiana, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics invite you to the heartland of America for an eight day festival of model rocketry.
Fly rockets large and small at the sport range! Sport and high power flying will commence on 27 July and run though the entire event. The IAC supports all sizes of model rockets and high power rockets through K-impulse with an 6,000’ waiver.
Compete with fellow rocketeers in the Annual Meet to test your skill, knowledge, and craft. Enter one, several, or all of the 10 events being hosted and go for gold! National recognition not enough? Try out for the USA Spacemodeling team and compete for a spot in the 2020 World Spacemodeling Championships.
Honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing with special events and fun flies. Stay tuned for more!
What is NARAM?
It is the National Association of Rocketry’s Annual Meet. The National Association of Rocketry (NAR) is America’s largest and oldest rocketry organization. The NAR supports all aspects of safe consumer sport rocket flying, from small model rockets with youth groups to very large high power rockets with serious adult hobbyists. One aspect of model rocketry encouraged by the NAR is competition flying. Participants of all ages compete in set events involving altitude, flight duration, payloads, and more. There are local, open, and regional contests held all over the country throughout the year. But each year there is one contest to rule them all. It is the annual meet at the national level. And this year is the 61st NARAM.
