Online registration for NARAM-63 is closed. You may now register the day of the event on-site only.

June 28 Update

Online Registration: We are now under 3 DAYS from the close of online registration on July 1. After this Friday, you will not be able to register online. While on field registration will be available, we STRONGLY encourage you to register NOW.

If you plan to fly the E Payload Altitude event, you will also need to provide your own payloads. NARAM, as has been in recent years, will NOT be providing payloads.

We still need authors for many of the NARAM contest event articles! Email me if you would like to volunteer.

There are also a number of open spots on the Sign Up Genius for sport range volunteers. Shifts are 2 hours, and without volunteers, it doesn’t work. That means it shuts down until we get volunteers to help. Tripoli Mo-Kan is doing a large part of the work and shifts, but please sign up for a shift or two and support YOUR NARAM event and fellow rocketeers. Thanks!

T-Shirt sales have reached their deadline and are no longer available for purchase.

Hotel: If you haven’t made your hotel reservations at the Oasis, it may be too late, as the room block has expired. However, the special $109 NARAM rate is still being honored, IF they have rooms available. At this time, it is suggested you call the hotel directly to confirm room availability.

T-Shirts: The cutoff date to order a T-Shirt is now only ONE WEEK away; the cutoff date is June 24.

Online Registration: We are now just TWO WEEKS away from the online registration cutoff of July 1. After that Friday, you will not be able to register online. While on field registration will be available, we STRONGLY encourage you to register online by July 1. Thanks.

Beer Lofting: We have had a good amount of interest with registrations for the Beer Lofting-Springfield Style event. As it stands now, we are getting close to max capacity for the party bus. Once we reach that point, further registrations will not be available. If you would like to be a part of this event, sign up now, or you may be left out. And there just might be a little bonus for those that attend this event. 😉

Ice Cream Social: We have received a great response to this FREE event, which will happen Thursday evening. But you MUST register online if you plan to attend. The hotel will need a head count well in advance, so if you don’t sign up, they won’t be able to accommodate you. And seriously, who wants to miss out on a free ice cream sundae bar?

Banquet: As with the Ice Cream Social, you must purchase your banquet tickets online. We have to turn in numbers well ahead so the hotel can plan for us. Please purchase online before the July 1 deadline.

Canon Auction: If you would like to donate items for the Canon Auction, please contact me so we can plan for your donation.

June 1 Update

Greetings from your NARAM-63 Event/Contest Director. I wanted to post some dates that attendees should take note of, as NARAM is fast approaching.

First of all, if you still haven’t made your hotel reservations at the official event hotel, the Oasis, you need to ASAP! The special rate $109 NARAM room block will only be held through June 14. This is earlier than normal for the hotel cutoff, due to NARAM being a week or so earlier than usual. The Oasis will host nearly the entire off field evening events, and it is a very nice property, so I encourage everyone to stay there. Additionally, if you don’t have your reservations in at the host hotel by the cutoff, you may find it difficult to find a decent room in Springfield. That town books up fast over the summer. Just Fair Warning.

If you are interested in optional merch that is available for purchase, PLEASE NOTE that the cutoff date to order a T-Shirt is ONE WEEK prior to registration cutoff; if you haven’t ordered a T-shirt by June 24, you likely won’t be able to get one. Currently we do not plan to have extras to sell at the event. On a further note, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENED that you register and order any T-shirts now. The supply chain issue is very significant in this area and even waiting another week or so lessens your chances to get the shirt size and color you prefer. We are sourcing the blank shirts periodically as color and size orders come in on the NARAM registration site, so ordering early is the best way for us to obtain your desired shirt color/size combo. These will be really nice moisture wicking, dye sublimated shirts this year so don’t miss out!

That being said, we are now only 30 days away from the online registration cutoff of July 1. After that Friday, we are no longer accepting any online registrations. While on field registration will be available, we STRONGLY encourage you to register online by July 1. For those that choose not to, you will not receive a printed name badge, and may also not receive some of the other standard ‘NARAM registration packet’ items due to lead times and availability. Please register now! Also, please sign up to help keep the sport range running all week. Tripoli Mo-Kan has done a fantastic job and has all range equipment ready to go. They will be doing a fair amount of managing range operations from day to day, but please use the Sign Up Genius link you will receive when you register to volunteer for a shift or two. Thanks!

We have both the patches and pins already. If you want to order a pin or an extra patch, the actual photo of the items is on the registration page. Both came out really nice, IMO. 🙂 The same goes here as with T-shirts; we have all that will be produced here now, but if you wait until the end, you may not be able to get a pin or an extra patch.

Remember, R&D submission deadline is Sunday, July 3 by end of day. You must submit your report via the online link for it to be judged.
