NARAM 66 Update

As reported on the NAR Forum by Steve Foster, NARAM 66 CD…

The new dates for NARAM 66 and CanAm Cup are now JUNE 23-28, 2025 (Monday to Sunday).  Along with a change in the area where we will be flying; we will be near SITE #4 (south west area of the AMA flying facilities).

Working with Matt Steele, CD of the CanAm Cup we have come up with the basic schedule for the field events. (Subject to change);

CanAm Cup / FAI flyers:

Monday -  S4 and S9

Tuesday - S2P, S8P, and S6 - (In rounds for FAI flyers)

Wednesday - S7 and S3 (In rounds in conjunction with NARAM contestants)

NARAM 66 flyers:

Wednesday - S6 (1/2A FAI SD) (NRC event no rounds, fly 2 flights anytime during day), S3 (1/2A FAI PD) (In rounds flown with FAI flyers)

Thursday - B RG, 1/2A Alt. and A Payload Altitude

Friday - B HD and D ELA

Saturday - Classic model and 1/4A FW

Sunday - Travel day, possible flying of next year's NRC flights if available?

As you can see there will be two separate events for S6 (1/2A FAI SD), this is due to rules for flying NRC events that currently do not allow multi-round events at NARAM.  For those who plan to fly in both the CanAm Cup and NARAM you will be flying each event separately (5 total flights, plus any fly off round).

S3 (1/2A FAI PD) will be flown as one event for all contestants.  This will be done in rounds, the rounds will not be consecutive so it will allow time for recovery and prep for the next round(s).  Flights will conform with FAI piston rules (no part of the launcher shall lose contact with the launcher assembly).
