About this event

Description
This is a public model rocket launch to be conducted in accordance with the NAR Model Rocket Safety Code ( https://www.nar.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=114127&module_id=669234/safety-information/model-rocket-safety-code/) and MTMA launch rules and procedures. Anyone is invited to attend. This is not a High Power launch.

There is a $5 per person fee for non-members. Children and young people of school age fly for free.
Non-members are limited to 10 N-s impulse maximum (C motor), no staging, and no clusters.
All models are subject to a safety check prior to launch.
Flight cards are required for each launch.

Launch window: Launch starts at 10:00 am. Please arrive earlier rather than later. We will fly until 8:00 pm, or until everyone has had enough and goes home. We may even stay all day - no guarantees. If you arrive later in the day, you may find that we have already flown and packed up. This launch may be canceled at the last minute due to rain, wind, family emergencies, or lack of volunteers. In the event of poor flying conditions, the event will be canceled. There is no planned rain date. Please monitor our message board at https://mtma.groups.io/g/public/topics for updates.

NRC Info: You can fly all NRC events, but you need to bring your own eggs and altimeters. Eggs and altimeters will be checked by the Contest Director.

Rain Date: In the event of rain or wind, the launch will be rescheduled for the fourth Saturday of the month.

Safety info: Be prepared to spend time outdoors in cold and warm weather. Bring water, a hat, and be prepared to deal with ticks in the summer. Sturdy shoes/boots and long pants are highly recommended. Leave the shorts and sandals at home!
