NARTREK Junior Program
NARTREK Junior is a program that introduces students under the age of 18 to model rocketry. There are three levels. Each level includes a reading, building, and launching segment. Each level builds upon and adds to the skills learned in the previous level. Students need to complete all three segments for each level, then submit the requirements through the website.
As each level is completed, you will receive an Achievement Certificate. To show off your accomplishment, a cloth patch are also available for purchase in the Storefront.
The NARTREK Junior Program
- Is open to members of the NAR.
- Is age appropriately designed to improve the knowledge and skills of modelers under age 18.
- Modelers can work alone, with an affiliated NAR section, class, youth or after school group.
- Operates on the honor system.
- Uses commercially available rocket kits whenever possible.
- Is designed to be low-cost. You buy your own kits, motors, equipment.
- You must know and abide by the NAR Model Rocket and High Power safety Codes
- You must understand the NAR rocket motor coding system.
- NAR Sections can provide the guidance, expertise, and resources to make the Junior participation very rewarding.
