Cotton City Area Rocketry Club – CCARC (NAR Section 748) invites you to NSL 2026 West. We have a great flying field with miles of view in most directions. The timing is great since it is after our monsoon season and the windy season hasn’t gotten in full swing.
NSLW will be operated under NAR rules. Tripoli (TRA) high-power certifications will be honored, but Tripoli members must fly under NAR rules (i.e. no research motors). Please contact your certifying organization with any insurance questions.
There is a 13,500' AGL altitude waiver. The recovery area is a fairly large but some areas may require clearance from the Playas Training Center security team.
Any large or unusual projects need to be reviewed. This includes any 5120 n-sec or larger installed impulse or any complex project such as parallel staging and large clusters. Please visit the Large/High Performance Flights tab for more information.
National Rocket Competition (NRC) flights will be allowed on Saturday and Sunday.
The Training Center has offered to host a tour of their facilities on Friday evening. The bus that can handle approx. 50 people. Start time would be 6:30 PM. The Training Center has offered to have a grill available for Saturday evening at the launch site where we can have a hamburger/hotdog cookout at 6:00 P.M.
Fresh-cooked food will be for sale on-site. Porta-potties with hand-washing stations for your convenience. Raffle prizes featuring rockets will be available to win. We plan a few fun competitive events with prizes as awards.
